Single-seal doors

Single-seal doors for hospitals

The automatic door for everyday traffic: corridors, ward entrances, non-sterile filter areas. It is not hermetic, but it is built to the same standards as the rest of the Hospital Division range.

Simple seal or hermetic seal

Two different doors, for different rooms.

On the market, "sealed door" is used for two different products. A simple sealing door limits draughts, dust and noise. A hermetic door maintains the pressure difference between two rooms.

Perimeter seals

The seals brush against the frame and the leaf slides parallel to the wall. It stops draughts, dust and noise, but it is not an airtight closure: it is the right door for corridors, ward entrances, outpatient clinics and general wards.

Hermetic seal

Continuous seal under pressure

On closing, the leaf moves against the wall and compresses a continuous seal around the whole perimeter; at the floor the leaf lowers. Air permeability is tested and classified: it is needed in operating theatres, intensive care units and isolation rooms.

Always flush. All our simple sealing doors are flush: 4 mm Abet HPL panel flush with the Hospital 45 profile, with no visible joints. The hinged version is always supplied with the bayonet bottom seal.

FAQ

Questions from designers.

Does a simple sealing door maintain a pressure difference?

No. It limits air, dust and noise, but it is not designed to hold a pressure differential. Operating theatres, intensive care and isolation rooms need an airtight door.

Can it be used on an escape route?

Yes, with break-out automation or with redundant automation. These two solutions are what qualify the door as an emergency escape route.

Why is the panel flush?

With the panel flush with the profile there are no steps or raised stops where dirt collects: the surface is continuous and easier to clean and disinfect.

Can I choose the colours?

Yes. The HPL panel is chosen from the Abet range and the profile can be RAL 9010 or any other RAL colour, to match the walls of the ward.

How are sizes taken?

Every door is made to measure from the wall opening surveyed on site. If you have a door schedule, send it to us: we check the size of every position.

Do you supply the door without installation?

Yes. Doors can be supplied without installation; otherwise installation is carried out by our own technicians.

Do you have a project or a door schedule?

Send it to us: we will reply with a quote and support for the tender specification.
